Saddle Fit Evaluation:
1. Examination of horse's posture and movement
2. Evaluation of the saddle on the horse
3. Dynamic Evaluation with Rider on the horse
4. Template - Cardboard measurement giving the horse owner measurement of the pitch plus contour of the back
5. White pad test gives a view of how saddle fits dynamically
The horses body is constantly changing with training. The fit of your saddles should be evaluated every 6 months
During saddle fit evaluation I will evaluate the horses need for therapy
How do you know if your horses saddle may not fit and would benefit from therapy?
Evidence of:
Heat
Broken hair, rubs and galls and scar tissue
Muscle Spasm
Abnormal sweat problems
Reflex tests
Hoof balance
Behavioral Problems
Performance Problems
Pain and altered posture creates referred pathology - chiropractic and kinesiology problems, arthritis, suspensory and tendon strain
